Pet fostering can be one of the most fulfilling experiences of a lifetime. It certainly filled an empty void in my heart when my son moved away to college. Although fostering could never replace a family member, it sure did take my mind off all those memories that can leave you feeling empty inside from the separation. I was fortunate enough to get involved before the fact, and looking back; it was just what the doctor would have ordered for those empty, broken heart feelings in need of healing.
